Section 29
Additional Facilities and Concessions
In addition to the exemptions, facilities and concessions mentioned in Section 24, 25, 26, 27 and Article 8, the following additional facilities and concessions may be given to the following:-
(a) Forest production-based industries can be provided with usufruct rights in accordance with the prevailing forest laws of a specific area by specifying the necessary conditions in the concession or lease,
(b) The electricity produced by the industry for its purpose shall not be subject to duty or royalty as per the prevailing law,
(c) If the industry wants to sell excess electricity produced for its own purpose, the amount of electricity to be sold can be sold according to the prevailing law at a rate fixed by mutual agreement,
(d) The Government of Nepal may provide additional facilities and concessions by publishing a notice in the Nepal Gazette to the specified industries to be established in the export purpose, special economic zone or government or private industrial sector,
(e) The Government of Nepal may give additional facilities and concessions by publishing a notice in the Nepal Gazette on the recommendation of the board for industries of national priority or maximum use of indigenous raw materials, labor and skills or industries established by inventing technology or goods within Nepal,
(f) The demand charge levied on the electricity tariff paid by the industry based on the proportion of time without electricity supply may be discounted by the Government of Nepal by adopting the prescribed procedure. (g) The government of Nepal can provide subsidies as prescribed by publishing a notice in the Nepal Gazette as seed capital (seed capital) to cooperatives, small enterprises, domestic and small industries to establish industries in underdeveloped areas,
(h) In order to develop and promote the production and market of new products to foreign-invested industries, permission may be granted to import the goods produced by the parent company abroad for a certain period of time, subject to the specified conditions and limits,
(i) Apart from the tobacco and alcoholic industries, the productive industries as per sub-section (2) of section 17, the industries based on agriculture and forest production and the mineral industries shall not be allowed.The Government of Nepal may provide incentives, discounts, facilities or concessions as prescribed,
(Naj) Small, domestic and small industries can be exempted from the customs duty incurred when importing new technology such as machinery, devices and equipment needed to increase the capacity of their industry,
(k) _ Government of Nepal may make special arrangements regarding incentives, exemptions, facilities or concessions for industries operating within industrial zones, centers producing similar products (product specific zone) and industrial villages,
(l) Government of Nepal may provide additional incentives, concessions, facilities or concessions to industries established in underdeveloped, underdeveloped and underdeveloped areas.
